Hello everyone!!

Time sure has flown since October started!! Due to mega overtime at my grown up job and Convention staffing, it’s been pretty hectic! But I would like to announce that my Etsy store is now open!!

You may notice that the prices are higher at the Etsy store than what I post on here. That’s to account for the fees that Etsy charges to post as well as their percentage when I make a sale. For any of you Portlanders out there, I will be at the PDX Browncoat’s Geek the Halls holiday bazaar this Sunday December 2nd from 10-4pm!! It is at the Jupiter Hotel in downtown Portland! I will have ~brand new~ stuff like more awesome totes in new fabrics as well as HEADBANDS and HAIR CLIPS!!

Oh man! Sorry it’s been SO LONG in updating this!!

After GeekGirlCon I went on vacation to Star Wars Celebration. The weekend after that was PAX. The weekend after that was Rose City ComicCon (which was amazing!). Two weeks after that was Jet City Comic Show!!! Needless to say, I was super busy and then super burnt out!

Thankfully I’ve finally recovered and I’m ready to put my all into The Force is Strong With This One! I’m in the process of opening an Etsy shop (YAY!) and I have a few great ideas on new items to sell including hair bands, hair bows, bracelets, and cutie mark appliques (because everyone loves ponies!)!!!

I also have a bunch of new stuff to post after I take some photos. More tote bags, skirts, and those easy to wear drawstring back packs I see all over the place!

I promise it won’t be long until the excitement starts, so please look forward to it!

Hey everyone!

GeekGirlCon ‘12 happened this past weekend! I’m proud to be part of the hard working staff as Assistant Volunteer Coordinator!! Our volunteers ABSOLUTELY ROCKED and blew everyone away! Our volunteers this year had to pay for their own badges (staff did as well), but they didn’t whine about it and they didn’t slack off. i honestly have never been so impressed with a group of volunteers. The fact that GeekGirlCon inspire them to work that hard is amazing!

It was really amazing to see how excited and positive our attendees are! I didn’t hear any complaints about waiting in line for panels, the exhibitor’s hall, or any of our content. People weren’t judging each other. People weren’t trying to show up each others’ “nerd cred.” Everywhere you looked there were compliments, hugs, and exchanging of emails and ideas. People came here to make friends and learn from each other. I have been to and staffed a lot of cons, but over the two days at GeekGirlCon, I think I made more personal connections than at any other event!

My good friend and Sakura-Con staff boss, TalisX, was good enough to sell some things at her table for me along side her art with a stack of my business cards! By the end of Saturday SHE HAD COMPLETELY RUN OUT OF MY CARDS! What!! Plus she sold 4 of my bags for me as well got multiple requests for custom orders for me. Even if I don’t hear from folks about those custom orders, I’m excited about the positive response I received for my work!

After hanging out with a super great volunteer (who was wearing a really cute Star Wars skirt her mom made her,) I brought I whole bunch of my skirts with me on Sunday to show her. A bunch of staffers (AND A REPORTER!!) ended up looking through them and I sold 5 of them!! Plus more interest in custom orders!!

Somehow ASHLEY ECKSTEIN (of The Clone Wars and Her Universe fame) grabbed one of my business cards!! That’s pretty overwhelming and amazing! I didn’t get the chance to see her myself, so I wonder if I will see her at Star Wars Celebration VI?
